Brenda McCaffrey, PhD – Entrepreneur and Electrical Engineer
How have you changed as a result of coaching with Robyn?
The changes have been rather surprising. First of all, I experienced a kind of shift in my perception of myself immediately after the 1-day intensive. I’m an engineer and I always thought of myself as an “outlier” because I think differently than most other engineers I know. I now recognize that the difference has to do with my willingness to play with ideas as part of the path toward finding a solution in a very serious industry. This is definitely a strength that allows me to have a big impact in my work.
I also understand now that this ability is really a gift, and I’m successful in direct proportion to how I exercise it. Since going through the 1-day intensive, I’ve been much more relaxed and confident in interactions with business colleagues. The response has been really wonderful and has validated this change in attitude.
What’s different in your life now compared to before coaching?
I’m not exactly sure why, but I’m far less anxious than before coaching. I’m more confident and setbacks are intensely interesting, rather than being devastating. I sleep more soundly. I seem to be able to be more objective about my emotional reactions to people and situations, so I’m able to tune into the underlying meanings of the emotions and use the information to make better decisions. Very powerful.
What is the #1 thing someone needs to know about coaching with Robyn?
It’s a bit addictive. I’ve seen Robyn in other professional roles at Arizona State University, and she’s the “real thing.” She’s a great leadership role model and entrepreneur.
Is there anything else you would like others to know about coaching with Robyn?
This is really a gift that you give to yourself. Ultimately, those around you will benefit from it as well.

How have you changed as a result of coaching with Robyn?
In working with Robyn, I feel like I’ve gotten to know myself better. It’s hard to explain, but in reviewing and analyzing my “strengths” I was surprising shocked. For years I’ve thought of myself as an “introvert”, however, what I really found was that I am very much an “extrovert”; but just get what I want in a more modest way verses being direct and overbearing. Most importantly I found that I worry way too much about what others think of me. I am now focusing so much more on my individualism and what sets me apart from others!
What’s different in your life now compared to before coaching?
Robyn shared the gift of meditation with me. I had never meditated before, but somehow I feel that it has grounded me. I know that I am part of a much bigger presence and seem to have a totally different outlook on life. I was skeptical that a one-day coaching session could truly change me, but somehow I feel so much better, confident, and just enjoying life!
What is the #1 thing someone needs to know about coaching with Robyn?
Robyn is awesome! Robyn is upbeat, amazing, and a joy to be around. I would definitely encourage you to do an intensive with Robyn. It’s one of the best gifts you can give yourself!
