Meet Robyn

Award-winning psychologist Dr. Robyn McKay holds a PhD in Counseling Psychology from the University of Kansas, where she studied creativity, intuition, positive psychology and optimal human development. During her graduate training, she co-founded CLEOS – a research-though-service laboratory that provides career and educational guidance to creative and talented adolescents.

 

Her post-doctoral residency focused on clinical psychology and mindfulness practices at the University of Missouri Health Care System in Columbia, Missouri.

 

Before pursuing her graduate studies, Dr. McKay spent about 10 years working as a manager in the pharmaceutical industry. She was part of the team of scientists at Amylin Pharmaceuticals who brought a first-in-class medication for patients with type 1 diabetes to market.

 

Dr. McKay is the founder of the Women in Science and Engineering leadership development program at Arizona State University-Polytechnic; and the psychologist for ASU’s Gary K. Herberger Young Scholars Academy. In 2010, she was awarded Arizona State University’s prestigious Commission for the Status on Women Outstanding Achievement Award for her work with women in leadership.

 

She is a licensed psychologist in Arizona.
